Bright Beam Goods Product Design

I designed the following products for Bright Beam Goods, a line of laser-cut toys, puzzles, and spinning tops created by the independent laser-cutting studio MakeATX.

The Bright Beam Goods line (Make ATX’s product line) is sold both wholesale and retail. Products that I designed for the line are sold at numerous museum stores and boutiques across the country, including the SF Moma, the Brooklyn Museum, and the ICA Boston.

Easy Peasy Puzzles

I designed these playful “Easy Peasy” puzzles for young children. The puzzles are made with simple shapes, with finger holds that make it easier for younger children to grip. The pieces are cut from acrylic on a baltic birch base.

Spinning Top Kits

These spinning tops are laser-cut from 1/8 inch baltic birch, can be colored in and assembled to create functional spinning tops. I created a line of “whimsy” spinning tops, animal and solar system tops, as well as several spinning tops based on famous modern art.

Creature Kit Sets

These “creature kits” can be used to assemble three-dimensional hanging figures. Because the line features many mythical animals and creatures, I designed these fairy and mermaid kits to help expand the company’s line in the same spirit.
